Most Germans support organ donation, but participation is low due to their opt-in system and general awkwardness in talking about death. We wanted to make organ donation cool and start a conversation among youth.
And here’s the thing…. Legally, all that’s required is a signed statement of intent, a statement that could be written on anything. So we took that statement and turned it into a fashion statement.
We collaborated with amazing German designers to create a collection of conversation-starting pieces of clothing.
All of the designs featured the statement, "I give permission for organs and tissue to be taken from my body after a doctor has certified my death." which, upon signing, became a wearable, legally binding "document."
